Medicaid Townhall: Redeterminations, Work Requirements, & Coverage for Undocumented Persons

The National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership (NCMLP) hosted a virtual townhall event to discuss three significant Medicaid policy issues affecting disadvantaged communities served by safety-net health care, social services, and civil legal aid providers. Tool: Types of trainings that help meet patients’ needs and strengthen the health care and legal workforces

Training is one way that medical-legal partnerships strengthen the skills and knowledge of both the health care and legal workforces to better meet the social needs of patients. Medical-legal partnerships typically train three groups: the health care workforce, MLP lawyers and paralegals, and patients.
