Continuing Education Credit for 2017

If you are an attorney, nurse, physician, or social worker who attended the 2017 Medical-Legal Partnership Summit, you are eligible to claim continuing education credit. All questions about continuing education credit should be directed to Claire Grimble at cgrimble@bu.edu.

Attorneys

Attorneys seeking CLE credit will need to self-report to their individual states’ bar associations. For questions on continuing education credits, please contact the Boston University CME office at cme@bu.edu or 617-638-4605.

Get Your Summit Certificate

Attorneys can download a certificate saying how many credit hours they attended by:

  1. Visiting the Boston University Continuing Medical Education website: http://bucme.org/getcredit;
  2. Logging in with the username and password you created to register for the MLP Summit; and
  3. Entering the code “ XLN17065”.

Nurses

This educational activity has been provided by Continuing Nursing Education Provider Unit, Boston University School of Medicine and jointly-provided by the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership at the George Washington University.

Continuing Nursing Education Provider Unit, Boston University School of Medicine is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Physicians

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Boston University School of Medicine and the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership at the George Washington University. Boston University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Boston University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Social Workers

For Wednesday MLP 101 Pre-Conference

CES, provider #1117, is approved as a Provider for Social Work Continuing Education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing
Education (ACE) program. CES maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 10/5/15 through 10/5/18. Social Workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social Workers participating in this course will receive 4.5 clinical continuing education clock hours.

For Thursday / Friday Summit

CES, provider #1117, is approved as a Provider for Social Work Continuing Education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. CES maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 10/5/15 through 10/5/18. Social Workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social Workers participating in this course will receive 8.0 clinical continuing education clock hours.

Procedure for Claiming Credit

Log on to: http://www.commonwealthseminars.com

  1. Click on the “Obtain Your Cert” link on the upper right hand side of the homepage.
  2. Programs are listed by dates and at the bottom of the page are online programs listed alphabetically. Scroll down and click on the name of the training you attended.
  3. Fill in the form with the information requested. Include the email address where you would like to have your certificate sent.
  4. Use this ID #: 86036 in the last field where it asks for “ID number” to claim MLP 101 Pre-Conference credit, and ID #: 86037 to claim credit for the Thursday / Friday Summit.
  5. Click on “Start Test,” which leads to one true/false question: “I have completed the requirements of this program.”
  6. Once submitted, you will be able to download and print your certificate of attendance. In addition, your certificate will be sent to you by commonwealthseminars@gmail.com to the email address you provided.
