For undocumented immigrants who are shut out of buying health insurance, free clinical services, like those provided to people under 24 years-old at La Clínica de la Raza, are of utmost importance. Faced with additional legal problems, however, just receiving health services may not be enough to help this population achieve their best health outcomes. La Clínica de la Raza recently partnered with East Bay Community Law Center in Oakland, California, to additionally help student patients and their parents who need assistance reversing deportation orders, applying for visas, and tackling other citizenship hurdles. Click here to read the article.
