New York Law Recognizes MLPs

This week, the state of New York amended its Public Health Law (PHL), section 22 to allow legal entities to register with the Department of Health as “health-related legal services programs.” This is a first-of-its-kind bill recognizing medical-legal partnership as an important health intervention.  The bill was worked on by the NY Coalition of MLPs and LegalHealth.
