Nebraska MLP receives $500k to study effect of legal services on high-need, high-cost patients

Nebraska Medical Center’s medical-legal partnership with Legal Aid of Nebraska has been awarded more than $500,000 by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to assess whether the provision of social and/or legal services will improve health outcomes and reduce medical care utilization and expenditure for high-need, high-cost patients. The study findings will provide evidence for a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to alleviate inequality in health and health care for underserved and low-income patients, as well as strengthen integration of health services and systems. Click here to read more.
