The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), which oversees federal funding for health centers, has renewed the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership’s (NCMLP) cooperative agreement as a National Training and Technical Assistance Partner for 2021. This funding allows NCMLP to provide technical assistance and resources to health centers looking to bring lawyers into their care teams, and strengthen how they are responding to patient and community needs, generally and in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the 2021 cooperative agreement, NCMLP will develop and release a new toolkit in the fall that guides health centers step-by-step through setting up a medical-legal partnership.
