Summit Coordinator


April Daniels joins the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership as the Summit Coordinator. Her primary role is managing the daily operations and logistics of the September conference. She works with a dedicated in-house team to assist with pre- and post-planning efforts, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, registration, and venue management. As the Summit’s primary point of contact, she coordinates materials, submission management, requests, and tracks key performance areas from healthcare, legal, and public health attendees.

With a background in hospitality and service, April has planned numerous conferences, galas, and social events of various sizes. Her previous skills as a Director of Sales for major hotel brands including Hilton, Marriott, and Choice, has successfully transitioned her into conference and event planning. April is also a Professor at the University of the District of Columbia in the Work Force Development Life Long Learning Department. She instructs and assisted with the curriculum development for hospitality and event training courses for the underemployed residents of the District of Columbia. Having received an award from the State of Maryland, April volunteers with HavServe Organization coordinating sponsors and volunteers, and planning galas to raise money for underprivileged youth in Haiti.

April had the honor of completing her Masters in Integrated Marketing and Communications at Florida State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Communications at Howard University.
