Pilot study of impact of medical-legal partnership services on patients’ perceived stress and wellbeing

In a Tucson, Arizona study, the stress levels and wellbeing of medical-legal partnership patient-clients were assessed. The changes in perceived stress were strongly related to the participants’ concern regarding the legal issues addressed by the MLP. The results showed the MLP reduces patient stress and improves overall wellbeing.
